The basis of every community is the meeting between the members within it. Activists from the LGBTQ+ community in Jerusalem have a wide variety of social spaces in the open house, designed to getting to know each other, meeting and creating belonging.
We believe that the more spaces we have that allow the diverse identities we have to be expressed, gender and sexual identities alongside religious, cultural, political identities and more. This way, each and every one of us will be able to raise our head and live with full pride with the whole of our personality.
We invite you to take part in the beautiful human mosaic of the gay community in Jerusalem.
Yam of Queer is a group for the trans and queer spectrum, which is a kind of incubator for community initiatives and diverse social gatherings. We have Friday and holiday dinners, in-depth content sessions, drag parties and pleasant afternoon picnics.

We open the weekend with a role-playing game – for fans of the genre, no prior experience is necessary. The meetings are held at the open house, Shmuel HaNagid 1, 4th floor.

Tayf is a project based in Jerusalem for Arab Jerusalemites that are part of the LGBT+ community, it was created to support the LGBT+ community in Jerusalem and to employ a safe space and to contain those who don’t entirely like themselves by their surroundings.

ירושלים מהווה מוקד של קהילות דתיות-להט”ביות מגוונות. קהילות אלה משמיעות קולות של הכלה וסובלנות בהקשרים להט”ביים גם בתוך הממסד הדתי – הן תופסות את מקומן בבתי כנסת סובלניים ובמוסדות חינוך. אבל ההקשר הקווירי-דתי נותר עדיין מצומצם לשאלות שיש להן גוון הלכתי, ומצמצם את המהות של החיים הקוויריים-דתיים לשאלות של אקטים דתיים או מיניים בלבד.
השיח הלהט”בי, בכללותו, מעלה תרומה תרבותית משמעותית באופן רחב. הוא מסייע בפירוק הבניות של מגדר, משפחה, מיניות ועוד. את השיח הזה אנחנו שואפות להכניס גם למרחבים המקודשים של מערכת היחסים של אינדיוודואלים וקהילות עם אלהים ועם מסורת. אלהינו, אשר אין לו גוף ולא דמות הגוף ולא יקרוהו מקרי הגוף, הוא הביטוי הטרנסנדנטי ביותר של קבלת מהות שהיא גבוהה יותר מהגוף הפיזי שלנו. את מערכת היחסים בין אלהים / השכינה לאדם ולקהילה אנחנו מאמינות שאפשר להעצים מתוך התייחסות למימדים הקוויריים של קיומנו בעולם, וכך להביא גל של חידוש וקיימות לתפיסות התרבותיות והדתיות של היהדות בימינו-אנו.
בית המדרש הקווירי נפגש לחבורה קבועה ללימוד מסכתות גמרא בימי רביעי ב8:30 בבוקר, בזום.
בנוסף מקיים בית המדרש ימי לימוד סביב חגים ומועדים בלוח השנה היהודי-להט”בי.

The Pride Library in the Open House is a space that makes literature, culture and creativity accessible to the community for the benefit of the community. The library includes over two thousand books relating to LGBT culture and identity that are available to the public, and is a focal point for community members to meet and get to know each other in the form of an artistic-social salon.

18+ year olds from the Arab sector who want to meet, share and get to know each other in safe and accepting spaces
The group is intended for youth from the ages of 18 to 22, who are in the country temporarily or permanently (i.e. olim, gap year students, etc.). The group has a religious orientation, which means that it will have content on religious and LGBTQ+ topics, but does not require that participants define themselves as religious
